Suggested Itineraries for Weekend Trips
For those of you who are either on business in Ghana or perhaps volunteering here and would like a guide and driver for the weekend these are some suggested trips that Dela has organized. Contact Dela to make arrangements so you can get the most out of your trip to Ghana.
Eastern Ghana
Day 1: Travel to visit Shai hills game reserve, Volta Lake/dam, Agotime Kpetoe kente weaving center and continue to Ho. Overnight at Chances hotel Ho.
Day 2: Travel to Wli waterfalls and stop at Tafi Atome monkey sanctuary, Gbi Atabu traditional bone healer, Gbi Kledzo special needs (disabled) children School souvenir shop and return to Ho. Overnight at Chances hotel Ho.
Day 3: Travel to Manet Paradise Ada, visit the Volta Estuary and return to Accra.
Central Ghana
Day 1: Travel to Kakum National park, visit Cape Coast/Elmina castles and drive to Busua beach resorts. Overnight at African rainbow hotel.
Day 2: Stay at Busua beach resorts with a visit to Dixcove Overnight at African rainbow hotel .
Day 3: Return to Accra.
Western Ghana
Day 1: Travel to Busua beach resorts. Overnight at African rainbow hotel.
Day :Travel to visit Amansuri wetland, Nzulezu stilt village and return to Nkroful. Overnight at B&Q hotel Nkroful.
Day 3: Return to Accra with a stop at Princess town/Cape three point.
Northern Ghana
Day 1: Travel to Mole National park. Overnight at Mole National park hotel.
Day 2 :Stay at Mole National park and do a Safari walk. Overnight at Mole National park hotel.
Day 3: Travel back to Accra with a stop at Kintampo waterfall.
Upper west Ghana seasonal (November-January)
Day 1: We will travel to Techiman and visit Tano Boase rock formations. Overnight at Premier Palace hotel.
Day 2: Travel to Wichiao Hippo sanctuary and Wa the capital of Upper west Region. Overnight at GNAT hostel.
Day 3: Return to Kumasi and visit Okomfo Anokye sword/ Bonwire kente weaving center. Overnight at Promising Star hotel.
Day 4: We will visit Manshia palace museum, Lake Bosomtwe and drive to Accra.
Upper East Ghana
Day 1: Travel to Tamale, Overnight at Radack memorial hotel Tamale.
Day 2: Visit Paga crocodile pond and return to Tamale to learn about a traditional birth delivery. Overnight at Radack memorial hotel.
Day 3: Return to Accra with a stop at Kintampo waterfall.
