The Expeditions
Dreamland Expeditions has put together a variety of comprehensive and affordable guided tours including day tours, weekend tours and longer expeditions to explore Ghana's beautiful landscape. The sights include the Chain Mountains, lush forests, virgin beaches, wildlife, rock formations, wonderful waterfalls. Ghana has a diverse history and culture to explore. Music and crafts are sought out during the tours. This all takes place in a peaceful and friendly atmosphere with the wonderful hospitality that has made Ghana a safe haven for visitors.
Dreamland Expeditions is presenting a special expedition in 2012. Ghana In View Expedition 2012 is a fourteen days cross country expedition visiting seven of the ten Regions in Ghana to experience Ghana's ecological and cultural treasures. We can also help plan a custom itinerary to suit your needs. One specialty tour that is in the works is a Bead and Batik tour. Ghana has wonderful markets that sell not only colourful produce but wonderful batik cloth and an amazing assortment of African Beads. The day trips Dela suggests are mainly in the Volta Region. Ho is centrally located for these days trips and would be a good base for those who would like to visit the area more extensively but would like to stay in one place. However, if you are based in Accra there are several day trips that would be very enjoyable. Contact Dela to talk about day trips.
As well as Day Trips there are also 7 day expeditions visiting different parts of Ghana that are suggested. Though these itineraries will serve as a very close guide to how these expeditions could operate, some adjustments may be required right up to the time of departure.... for example we could take in some drumming and dancing not previously planned ..
These trips are for the adventurous! The itineraries have been designed to be as comfortable as possible, but this part of the world is still developing... so the unexpected is the norm.. but Dela will be there working for you! Some road journeys, especially to the north, can be long and rough..but exciting!
No matter what your budget, the accommodation choices always include facilities that are clean, as conveniently located as possible and secure. Dela endeavors to use the best hotels available that fit your budget. Travelling in Ghana inevitably has a certain element of "roughing it" involved but the aim is towards adventure with your level of comfort in mind.
Depending on your budget, Dela can aim to either end of the spectrum from luxury accomodations (where possible!!) to budget. Dela is ready to work out a complete tour with you! Or what Dela is finding that works well is for the client to be responsible for paying directly for everything except the transportation, driver and guide. This way the client can be totally in control. The cost of the transportation, driver and guide also depends on your needs. Your booking would be appreciated at least two weeks before your arrival.
